£10m of new projects secured for 2026–2027
We have secured £10 million of new work across three major projects in England and Scotland, boosting a strong order book and providing some positive news as the business moves into 2026 and beyond.
The projects span the logistics, food manufacturing and industrial refurbishment sectors, reflecting continued demand for our electrical design and installation expertise across technically complex and large‑scale environments.
Distribution Centre, Avonmouth
First up, is a project in the South West where we have been appointed to deliver the electrical design and installation for a new large‑scale distribution centre and offices in Avonmouth.
This fast‑track project includes a full scope of electrical services, covering HV and LV distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, small power and life safety systems throughout the facility. The appointment continues our strong working relationship with Bowmer and Kirkland, with works due to commence on site in the spring of this year, and handover planned for late autumn.
Together with other secured works in the region, the project contributes to a programme of activity that will see us delivering over £20 million of electrical works in the South West by the time it completes.
Dairy & Creamery, Lockerbie
In Scotland, we have secured a major refurbishment and extension project at a national dairy facility in Lockerbie. The scheme will see the design and installation of all electrical services suitable for a demanding food production environment, including mains distribution, lighting, fire and security systems, and CCTV.
Installations are scheduled to begin this spring and will run for approximately 12 months. Construction services are being delivered by Clegg Food Projects Ltd, one of our longest‑established clients, continuing a successful working relationship built across a number of recent high‑profile food and manufacturing projects.
Factory refurbishment, Castleford
The third project is a long‑term electrical refurbishment at an existing factory in Castleford, Yorkshire. Running alongside a full roof replacement, the scheme is technically and logistically complex, with works also due to start this spring and complete in early 2028.
Our team will deliver a comprehensive electrical refurbishment as part of the wider redevelopment, supporting the modernisation of the facility while maintaining programme continuity over the extended construction period.
Commenting on the secured works, Jordan Robinson, Pre‑Construction Director at Morecrofts, said:
“We’re really pleased to have secured these projects and to see them added to the order book. Each one has been some time in the making, particularly the Castleford refurbishment, and it’s great to see that work now coming to fruition. Together, they demonstrate the continued strength of our relationships and our ongoing success within the industrial, logistics and manufacturing sectors. We’re looking forward to seeing these projects develop over the coming months and years.”
Together, the three projects underline the business’ continued growth across the UK and provide a strong platform for the for us as we head into 2027 and beyond.
